How
can homeopathy help?
Because homeopathy treats the person rather than the disease,
potentially it can help any illness. People often turn
to homeopathy as a last resort, having tried orthodox
medicine which has either failed them completely or left
them with unpleasant side effects from drugs. Others have
suffered symptoms such as fatigue, or aches and pains,
for many years, but despite tests and investigations,
no diagnosis or cure has been found.
Illnesses
commonly seen in clinic include:
Stress-related
problems such as palpitations, high blood pressure, insomnia
and headaches.
Childhood
disturbances such as hyperactivity, nightmares,
tantrums, extreme shyness and bedwetting.
Common
infections such as bronchitis, flu, glandular
fever, tonsillitis, cystitis and thrush.
Viral
infections such as ME, hepatitis, shingles, herpes,
impetigo and warts.
Skin
problems such as eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis
and acne.
Allergies
and asthma, including hay fever, food sensitivities
and candida.
Digestive
and bowel problems such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome,
indigestion, gastric ulcer, ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s
disease.
Neurological
problems such as Multiple Sclerosis and epilepsy.
Hormonal
disturbances such as menstrual problems, menopause,
infertility, thyroid function and diabetes.
Pregnancy
symptoms such as nausea, back pain, anaemia,
or a history of problems such as miscarriage or ectopic
pregnancy.
Migraine
and headaches
Injuries
and joint troubles such as Repetitive Strain
Injury, arthritis, rheumatism and sprains.
Mental
health problems such as depression, panic attacks,
addictions, phobias, post traumatic stress syndromes and
eating disorders.
How long does it take?
This
varies depending on the kind of illness you have. It is
possible to say that a slowly developing complaint or
one that has been experienced for some years will not
disappear immediately, although there may be some improvement
soon after taking the remedy. In most cases, there will
need to be at least three consultations at monthly intervals.
Once you are progressing well, appointments can be less
frequent.
